Description

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Administrator to join our team and take on a key role in the management and optimization of SQL Server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server administration, with a focus on configuring servers, implementing high availability solutions, and ensuring the reliability and security of database systems. • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology), or equivalent work experience. • SQL Server Expertise: Proven experience as a SQL Server Administrator, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience. • Server Configuration: Proficiency in configuring and optimizing SQL Server instances and database servers for optimal performance. • High Availability Solutions: Extensive knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including but not limited to SQL Always On, Failover Clustering, and Mirroring. • Database Security: Strong understanding of database security best practices and the ability to implement and manage security measures. • Performance Tuning: Demonstrated ability to monitor and tune SQL Server databases for optimal performance. • Backup and Recovery: Experience in developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity. • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) to automate routine administrative tasks. • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve database-related issues. • Certifications (Optional but a Plus): Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MCSA: SQL Server, MCSE: Data Management, and/or other certifications in database administration. • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. • Documentation: Strong documentation skills for maintaining detailed records of configurations, changes, and procedures. • Experience with other database systems such as Oracle or cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
