YOUR OPPORTUNITY Deloitte’s professionals lead the technological development trend through cutting edge technologies and consulting services oriented to enabling clients harvest the benefits from modern data management and analytics solutions. We are currently searching for Data Engineers/Business Intelligence Engineers for our Core Business Operations service line in Thessaloniki. The selected candidates will work in teams, have a detail-oriented mindset, analytical thinking skills, a drive for quality in technology and will be able to understand and interpret business requirements and transform them into actionable data processes. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES In your role in Deloitte, you will be focused on functional analysis and development of data management processes, while working with a progressively - increasing autonomy within multi-functional teams. For a full coverage of your role, you ought to be able to: · work with a distributed team and deliver your tasks independently · support the distributed team interpreting the client’s needs and in defining methods and approaches that best suit them · design data-based solutions that enable the client’s technology agenda · create, enhance, and maintain ETL pipelines using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS · communicate your ideas and proposals in a clear, structured, and concise fashion · indicate possible issues related to the project and swiftly share them with the rest of the team · fruitfully cooperate with inter-functional and international teams OUR REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate meets the following requirements: · Bachelor / Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in similar technical-scientific disciplines (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Statistics); · Experience in data infrastructure design (data lakes / data warehouses / data marts) · Experience in development of data visualization solutions (e.g Power BI, SSRS, QlikSense) · Strong Experience in SQL, Stored Procedures, ETL / ELT flows · Good command of Python · Working experience in CI/CD · Experience in cloud computing (e.g Azure, AWS, Google cloud) will be considered a plus · Experience in Apache Spark will be considered a plus · Experience in Financial Services / Energy sector will be considered a plus · Eagerness to continuously develop skills on emerging technologies · Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint · Strong ability to communicate in English · Will to travel, domestically and abroad The profile is rounded up by excellent analytical skills, precision, self-management capacities and a strong goal-oriented inclination.
